Business Case PreparationThe development of the Business Case requires the bringing together of Allison Consultancy’s extensive EDM industry experience and an understanding of the current processes, organisation and culture in the client's organisation. The latter is sought explicitly during interviews with staff and meetings with the Project Team / sponsor and appropriate other personnel. Current Key Performance Indicators are compared with anticipated outcomes from the proposed EDM solution to give an estimate of the potential financial benefits. The potential benefits in terms of process, practice and culture are less tangible, and are assessed in relation to the current situation. We pay great attention to the cultural and change management issues in our projects. We define interdependencies, and present an evaluation of the risks and barriers to successful implementation. The change management issues referred to above are analysed. The pre-conditions and requirements for successful implementation of EDM are specified. Often, the most cost-effective way of producing the business case is for us to contribute verbally and via informal documents and for the client to prepare formal documentation and presentations.
